Foundation Board Welcomes New Trustees

Five new members have been appointed to four-year terms on the Foundation Board. They are:

  • Andrew S. Berwick, Jr. – Founded Berwick-Pacific Corporation in 1965. Berwick-Pacific operates as a real estate developer of commercial buildings, specializing in shopping centers. Andrew has a long history of community involvement, and has served as a Councilor and then Mayor of the Town of Hillsborough, CA. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Oregon in 1955.

  • Thomas J. Hartfield – Founder of Prescott Homes, LLC, which owns rental property in California. He is a member of the UO Knight Library Advancement Committee. Tom earned his Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Oregon in 1975 and his M.B.A. in Finance in 1980 at New York University.

  • Abbott J. Keller – Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Kestrel. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Oregon, where he received the 1972 Wall Street Journal Finance Award. He then earned an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1973.

  • Sondria L. Stephens – Currently a partner in Deloitte LLP's Houston, Texas office. Deloitte provides a wide range of integrated financial advisory services. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Oregon in 1988.

  • Vicki J. Toyohara-Mukai – Was an Administrative Law Judge for Washington State. Her community involvement includes being a member of the UO Law Dean's Advisory Council, and Co-Founder of the Asian Bar Association of Washington State. Vicki earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1980.

Seven members have retired from the Foundation Board. They are:

  • Dan W. Hollingshead – BBA ’69 Accounting

  • Colin Slade – BS ’77 Accounting
