Private Gifts
Since 1922, the University of Oregon Foundation has received, invested, and distributed private gifts to the University, funding student scholarships, faculty support, academic programs, and building improvements.

The Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation, is responsible for receiving and administering the thousands of private gifts donated annually to the University of Oregon, and disbursing those funds to the University according to donor intent.

UO Foundation support increases seed funding for UO research

“The UO Foundation Board of Trustees was inspired by the success of the I3 Awards and the doors it opens for groundbreaking researchers,” board Chair Steve Holwerda said. “We recognize this program as an opportunity to make a direct, impactful investment in the academic excellence of the university, and are proud to support faculty innovation in this significant way.”

In the last fiscal year, the long-term Willamette Investment Pool increased by more than 7 percent, reaching $753 million as of June 30, 2016. Hayward Field

Hayward Field Renovation

Hayward Field, on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, is one of the best known track and field stadiums in the world. After hosting its sixth U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in 2016, the historic stadium will undergo a significant renovation. The UO Foundation is managing the construction project, which will respect and honor Hayward Field’s rich past while preparing the venue for the future.
